NoteCram (“we”, “us”) provides a browser extension that turns YouTube videos into study notes, flashcards, and quizzes. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. Questions? hello@notecram.com.
What we collect & why
Video transcripts & details. When you ask NoteCram to summarize, question, or study a video, the extension reads that video’s publicly available captions and sends them — with the video title and ID — to our servers to generate your notes. We do not collect your YouTube account, watch history, or data from videos you don’t act on.
Account information. If you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and a Google user ID to identify your account. We request only basic profile access — never your Gmail, Drive, or other Google data.
Subscription information. If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We store a Stripe customer reference and your plan status. We never see or store your card details.
Notion (optional). If you connect Notion, we store an access token so we can create the pages you export. We only write pages you explicitly export; we do not read your existing Notion content.
Usage counts. We store simple per-day counters to manage trial and plan limits.
Third parties we share data with
- Anthropic (Claude) — receives transcripts and video titles to generate notes, flashcards, and quizzes. Not used to train models.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Notion — only when you export, and only the content you export.
- Google — only to verify your sign-in.
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.
Data retention
Transcripts are processed to produce your study materials. Saved summaries are stored until you delete them. Account and subscription records are kept while your account is active. You can request deletion at any time at hello@notecram.com.
Your choices
- Use NoteCram without signing in (anonymous trial).
- Disconnect Notion or cancel your subscription at any time from the extension.
- Request access to, or deletion of, your data by email.
